Sunday Sunday

Well today we were back out at the barn and Avery got on an English saddle today with her instructor.. She did great. Of course Alexa had to ride when Avery was finished.. Not sure what I will do if I have 2 girls that want to ride horses.. Its a very expensive hobby and not to mention my comfort zone is just not there.. Guess I will be learning about about showing, eventing, cross country, jumping, etc.
Avery has swimmers ear and spiked a fever today. She has a pretty nasty wet cough so I am assuming she has what Alexa had last week. Hope she wakes up better in the AM. They are suppose to go to backyard vacation bible school..
I cant believe Avery will be 6 in almost 3 weeks.. WOW how time flies.. Just finishing up planning her party. It will be here at the house this year. Guess that will be nice.. but gosh its so nice to have them at places like Pump it up.. they take care of everything..

After her party, my mom and the girls will head down to Port Aransas.. This has become a tradition for us girls.. its nice to spend a few quiet days at the beach.
Hopefully some of you caught my brother and sister in law Casey and Jennie Daigle on E true stories last week. They did a feature on Baseball wives.. It was pretty cool.. .they actually did some of their interviews in our house.. you could see our pool table in the back ground.. thats all that will be famous in our house :)
Off to prepare for the week.. My new associate will be starting in about 6 weeks and I am SO excited.. I have been waiting to have another dermatologist now for almost 4 years...
Had to post a few pictures of todays big event and few from Avery's dance recital... For some reason Alexa elected to not do dance this year and she is really the dancer..
Have a great week

Been toooo long

well... the streak of good health has ended in the Daigle household... after an emergency appendectomy, broke arm, stitches in the chin then a huge laceration of the forehead.. I figured I was good for at least 6 months right..... from the description above,.. you would think I have a group of boys in my house.. but nope.. 2 very active little girls...

So in the midst of seeing 26 patients today in my south office my nanny calls to tell me Alexa has 103 fever and her tummy hurts... oh no I am thinking.. not this.. this is house Avery started and within 48 hrs she was in emergency surgery.. well cancelled my last appointment.. sorry Obie... I know you are an itchy boy... will see you next week... but had to take care of my princesses ( oh and poor Avery has had diarrhea all day with no fever)... so met Angela at the dr and took Alexa in... of course they found nothing so its the sit and wait game... Strep test was negative.. she is in bed resting with a fever.. started with a little moist cough.. so betting this will be a viral upper respiratory infection..
Poor Avery her bottom is so raw... SO out came the boudreauxs butt paste... works miracles...
hopefully we will have a good night of rest.. Poor Avery is distraught because she cant sleep with Alexa so I am sure she will be down in our room around 2am..
Hopefully tomorrow they will both feel better..
I have a crazy day so lets say the prayers for a healthy household..
Never a dull minute....

Ikea Trip

So Alexa goes to Ikea with the Angela the nanny sometime.. We had just finished eating a large dinner at Razoos and as soon as we walked into the very large store... she proceeded to drag me ( this child is only 3 and knew the exact path) to the cafeteria.... she wanted the broccoli cheese soup.... That girl loves to eat :)

We had a nice Sunday relaxing by the pool with the girls and just hanging out. It was nice to just hang here since we have had a busy weekend.

Avery finally was able to start her riding lessons back today. She will hopefully move to an English saddle in 2 weeks. She should start showing in September.

Off to do some house chores and get ready for crazy week at work. Lots of allergic pets here in Central Texas.....

4th of July

Not sure if this will work but I am going to try and post a link to a video my neighbor put together from the Pelaches 4th of July party. Avery and Alexa are the blonds in the red, white and blue stripe and polka dot dresses.

The Beginning

So I have decided to start this blog to try and keep up with our family. I will try to post some recent pictures of the girls and document whats going on in our daily lives. I am currently a veterinary dermatologist in Austin Texas. I own 2 dermatology clinics. My husband is a veterinarian also that owns a beautiful practice and a luxury boarding facility in Cedar Park Texas. We have 2 girls Avery Madison who turns 6 in August and Alexa Faith who is 3. The girls are enjoying the summer and swimming in the pool everyday.
